Sony have announced a second God of War game for the PSP, Ghost of Sparta.
Supposedly the story follows on from where the original God of War game finishes.
“Ghost of Sparta tells the story of Kratos’ ascension to power as the God of War,” reads Sony’s blurb.
“In his quest to rid the nightmares that haunt him, Kratos must face his dark past to prove his worthiness to the Gods – a journey that will reveal the origins of lost worlds and finally answer long-awaited questions about Kratos’ tattoo, scar, and family.”
The game apparentyly has “state-of-the-art visual technologies, higher resolution environments, and greater depths of scale”, and will push the PSP to it’s limits.

The mobile developer Fishlabs has said today that the graphics on the new iPhone 3GS will go beyond what the PSP can do.
In an interview with Pocketgamer he said:
“As graphic assets need to be designed from scratch to benefit from 2.0 shaders it will be very hard to monetise the extra effort in the early days. It’s definitely not worth it for $0.99 apps,”
“It makes more sense now to have a setting for extra high graphics to run on iPod touch 2 and iPhone 3GS,” he added, “even if that means more dev efforts and testing.”

Christ Kramer from Capcom has posted on his blog that he has taken a sneak peak at a very early version of the new Resi game on the PSP, and it’s looking pretty awesome!
“I can tell you that Capcom is working very closely with Sony on this title, as it’s something that both companies have wanted on the PSP for quite some time…
…It’s not a ‘remake’ of a previous RE game, but an all-new title created specifically for the PSP platform, with the PSP Go in mind…I’ve managed to sneak a look at a very early game design document for this title and all I am allowed to say is: Wow. Totally different for a Resident Evil game.”
Who do you think will be in it? Where will it be set and when?
Can’t wait for this personally! Should be one of the reasons i can pick up my PSP again.

With the PSP GO recently announced at E3 there has been quite a few rumours popping up about how much its going to be integrated with the current Playstation Network.
The big question was…”Will trophies be included?” The little answer simply being….”no.”
Joystiq popped the question to Sony’s Eric Lempel (Director of PlayStation Network Operations) last week at E3. Lempel insisted there were “a few reasons” why trophies will not be included. The main being the fact that the PSP gets Hacked so much, yep, it gets hacked for pretty much everything…Lempel said, “if people can artificially inflate their rankings and amounts of Trophies” via the PSP on a shared PlayStation-wide Trophy system then it “kills the whole (Trophy) system,” PS3 included. So “keeping it secure, keeping it fair” is the best solution – but that means no Trophies on PSP.
Fair enough I guess, not that I was even that bothered about trophies…but I know quite a few people that only buy games for trophies. What you think about it?
