Those Modders are at it again, this time working on a mod which allows for Multiplayer in the awesome Sand box game Just Cause 2. The video below shows the mod in it’s early stages, with just 2 people driving seperate vehicles, but imagine the potential Multiplayer could have on the game.
Bungie have released three pictures of maps from the upcoming Halo Reach Multiplayer Beta.
“All four maps were chosen in order to test a specific selection of gametypes and team sizes…Each map brings unique elements that we want to evaluate and hopefully contain enough variety to be appealing for the duration of the Beta.”
“Sword Base and Powerhouse cover the Slayer, Headhunter, end of the spectrum, Overlook is perfect for the NT 1* (”Generator Defense”) game type, and Boneyard is a great landscape custom built for Invasion.”
US mag Game Informer has released new details on the Multiplayer mode for the upcoming Crackdown 2. Take a look at the info below!
Here’s the real meat: as rumoured Pacific City hasn’t changed much and still holds the same roads and many of the same buildings as before – although some have been changed or demolished.
As with the first game your agent will grow more powerful as you obtain skill orbs by performing abilities relevant to your character. Super-cops can now perform more varied melee attacks and call in supplies at any time. A “more precise” targeting system is also in, says GI, and players will be rewarded for skill.
New Agency vehicles including a helicopter (!) are promised, plus all old motors will return for the follow-up. Developer Ruffian is pimping its weapon variety too, and in GI’s visit it showed a new powerful shotgun, a rail gun and sticky grenades.
As has been mentioned before, the co-op count is bumped up to four-players (and vehicles now have room for mounted turrets to accommodate the extra teammates) and Crackdown 2 is said to have a stronger focus on co-op play in general. 16-player deathmatch too is apparently “tons of fun” and sports a Call of Duty 4-style progressions system.
The infection in the city means that it will now decay over time, and the mutants roaming the streets will grow far more fearsome as the game progresses. Luckily, they seem to prefer the night as their playtime.
Civilians have responded to this new, increasingly dangerous metropolis by armouring up their cars and carrying weapons, and they’ll often be involved in dynamic events such as selling you goods or being chased down by giant critters.
Here’s a peek of what to expect with the new multiplayer included with BioShock 2. There’s not too much to see in this trailer but it’s set to be pretty classy with a Call of Duty style character customization. Read more about it Here.
Naughty Dog co-president, Evan Wells, and creative director, Amy Hennig, have revealed some info on the hotly anticipated Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, speaking exclusively to the people at Playstation.
Take a look at the main points below, but the whole chat can be viewed here!.
Release date: “We still haven’t announced our release date. So for now it’s still “Fall”, but I assure you that an official date will be announced very soon.”
Multiplayer: “We are only supporting online multiplayer. We didn’t want to compromise the visuals going from single player to multiplayer and to include a split screen option at this time would have meant making that sacrifice.”
New Demo: “Yes, we’re going to have another multiplayer demo before the game hits shelves. The exact timing isn’t finalised yet, but it should be available to an even wider group this time, so if you missed the last one I don’t think you’ll have any problem getting in this one.”
Single Player: “The single player campaign is definitely going to be longer than Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. We have over 90 minutes of cinematics alone! And of course we have the competitive and co-op multiplayer modes too.”
