Gameplay details and Screenshots have emerged for the long awaited Little Big Planet 2, Thanks to CVG.

Basically, where the first LBP had you building Mario-esque platform levels, the sequel will allow players to make entire games; shooters, racers, puzzle games, Space Invaders clones – even RPGs. One Media Molecule developer had even built a fully working Command & Conquer clone.

The most important addition to LBP2’s all-new level creator – which you can even use to customise the game’s HUD – are the “direct control seats”. These can be attached to objects to customise the controls of the game, creating the feel of an entirely new game.

For example, Media Molecule says you can attach a control seat to a makeshift car, set SixAxis tilt for forward and reverse, and assign the horn to the X button. You can even put a direct control seat on Sackboy himself to completely customise the feel and controls of your protagonist – it’s possible to recreate the exact jump from Yoshi’s Island on Super Nintendo, says the developer.

LBP2 also makes advancements in how you put enemies into your levels, with the addition of Sackbots. Sackbots have various enemy style templates that can be tweaked and dressed however you want.

And that’s not all; there are movie editing options for cut-scenes, you can record your own sound effects, string levels together to create an entire game and transfer all of your download content from the original game.

When GTA 4 come out over a year back I purchased it straight away looking forward to playing it, however I felt slightly disappointed.
The game was a little slow and serious for me, where as the old Grand Theft Auto’s had a fun element to them. This seemed to have gone at the time I did have a few games to play and a lot of work on so I don’t know if was the time constraints that led me to pass GTA 4 by. Don’t get me wrong the game is a masterpiece but at the time it wasn’t for me , the spraying houses with poop in saints row 2 was more fun for me and I guess that shows my mentality given the choice Ill happily lob cack around like Bubbles the monkey.
So when the Xbox got the new missions I totally ignored them but now it’s been a quiet few weeks in the release scheduled I picked this up and I really pleased I did.

TBOGT is to me, the real GTA the way I remember great characters, great story and ball bouncing funny it’s the same city but the adventures are different and what I was hoping for from the original GTA 4 with a new selection of vehicles to drive and plenty of new activities.

Luis Lopez is now our player of choice and it doesn’t take long to start liking him, within the first 5 minutes I was dancing away in a nightclub with some lovely ladies, John Travolta had nothing on me and once I had finished they wanted to check out the tent I had just pitched in my pants it was all going great. Then you meet up with Tony and this is where the mission’s starts and the starting mission with Tony is an unforgettable one involving some gonads and golf balls, the missions are well thought out.
Tony is not your only point of call for missions as always you will get to know some of his friends who will then offer you work or just ask you to hang out , All of his friends are total spanners but you can help but love them and I was chuckling away to some of the nonsense they spout.
If your not strolling around Vice city you’ll be driving cars, bikes, helicopters, aeroplanes and parachuting you way around its all great fun from start to finish, some of the new activities will have you frantically doing drug wars, being a door man at your club looking for trouble maker and chilling out while playing some golf on the driving range plenty to do.
The game will last you around ten hours depending on how much of a GTA legend you are and its ten hours well this is the way all DLC should be, and I have not even touched the Lost and the Damned yet …can’t wait.
9/10
As mentioned above time spoilt my GTA 4 experience, is it time to revisit am I missing out or will TBOGT be enough to keep my faith in the GTA series ?
